Texas A&M University, 2012

Bachelor of Science, Interdisciplinary Studies

(Mathematics & Science)

Rebecca Mott is the Director of Partnerships at the Center for Transforming Alternative Preparation Pathways (CTAPP) at Dallas College. She is leading the charge to increase collaboration and effectiveness between all stakeholders involved in the critical task of developing teacher candidates.

Rebecca graduated from Texas A&M University, College Station, in 2012 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in 4th-8th Math and Science. After moving to Houston, she worked for YES Prep Public schools as a math teacher, instructional leader, and most recently, a campus administrator managing the team of instructional leaders. Her time at YES Prep helped to establish her passion for serving diverse communities with a student population who have been historically marginalized.

Her experience in working with novice teachers and seeing the impact that passionate, effective, and experienced teachers have on students drives her to continue working collaboratively with other leaders in education. Rebecca is excited to positively impact the future generation of PK-12 students across Texas with CTAPP.
